I was promoted from Community Advocate to Academy Coordinator and tasked to develop, launch, and program manage the REST Academy.-Designed the program from inception to implementation. The complete program included four tracks: six-weeks of job training, a six-week paid internship, monthly leadership workshops, and employment support.-Developed community partnerships to secure internship opportunities for participants and partnered with community survivors that taught monthly leadership workshops.-Hired and supervised the Employment Specialist who provided one-on-one employment support to participants.-I created the application and interviewing process to determine admission and graduation requirements for the Job Readiness and Internship Program.-Developed an academy program tracking mechanism to gauge progress and volunteers.-I managed the program’s day-to-day operations, which included recruiting, onboarding, and training participants, volunteers, and facilitators. In addition, I developed the curriculum, facilitated workshops, supervised volunteers and support staff, and managed performance data, under organizational and federal grant requirements.
