Inspired by the creativity and potential of children, started an out-of-school time program for PK-8th grade students. During the after school hours and on full day school closures children are inspired by our programs to explore their curiosity through the design thinking process and use of a broad array of hand tools and materials. Children are empowered to take risks, develop grit through process-oriented work, and explore the expanses of their imagination. In support of programming, develops curriculum, establishes partnerships, and manages the daily administrative operations of the business.

Identified potential leads while maintaining databases of sales in a CRM platform. Analyzed and compiled sales data for executives. Managed customer satisfaction program post-sale. Optimized user experience of the company's website through creative UX and UI design. Maintained regular communications with current and potential customers through the design and delivery of company newsletters and social media campaigns.

Instructs students ages 5-16 years old in the development of English speaking, reading and writing skills in an 1-on-1 immersive online classroom. Delivers content-based instruction that spans various subjects (history to math), conversational English, and project-based learning. Administers formal testing and provides detailed feedback to both parents and learning advocates to improve student outcomes. Holds 15 different program certifications, including an internationally-recognized foundational TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of other Languages) course. To date, have taught more than 400 students throughout 1,600+ classes, and have earned more than 1,000 perfect (5 out of 5) parent satisfaction reviews.

Planned, coordinated and managed vocational and STEAM programs for teachers and students across the entirety of the school system. Supported countywide professional learning opportunities offered through the STEAM, Career and Technical Education, and College Success Program offices. Revamped the STEAM website to facilitate staff access to internal and external resources. Streamlined the STEAM loan kit system, thereby increasing check-outs by 40% from last year-impacting thousands of students districtwide.

Provided financial and operational oversight in the administration of the school's three-year grant, authorized by the No Child Left Behind Act to further student achievement during out-of-school time. Utilized hard and soft data on our students' needs to design a network of programs and partnerships in the conception of the grant application. Collaborated with the After-School Program Administrator to win a $170k grant (in our first year). Established an umbrella of services to encompass a wide variety of parent education programs (i.e. financial literacy, English language and parenting classes), after-school programs that target at-risk populations (i.e. JROTC mentoring for behaviorally-challenging youth, devised theater program for English Language Learners, dance program for students with disabilities), and summer programs that close the gap for struggling learners.

Developed, implemented, monitored and assessed site-based after-school and summer programs; oversaw community use of school building and grounds; collaborated with school, department and county staff to ensure linkages between after-school and in-school activities, and compliance with school regulations. As Administrator of the school's recycling and service learning initiatives trained, designed and delivered engaging and effective school-wide lessons to educate both staff and students. Planned our annual Day of Service in which up to 900 individuals learn about a community issue through a highly visual and easy to implement lesson, followed up by service activities that enable our students to make an impact.

Designed and implemented financial literacy program incorporating Junior Achievement and Capital One’s Stash your Cash curricula. Led students in using newly gained knowledge to conceive, manage and operate an After-School Store in which snacks and refreshments were sold. Surpassed our collectively set sales goal by almost 100%; and used our profits to purchase a memorial in remembrance of a classmate, placed in school courtyard.

Educated youth about the importance of service work and encouraged them to take collective action in helping the community through fundraising and volunteer activities. Collected over $650 in change for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF; 1,930 shoes to help children in Malawi; over 400 books and toys for homeless children in Northern Virginia; and 140 inches of hair to Locks of Love. Organized and coordinated over ten on and off-site events and field trips that incorporated guest speakers, direct contact with beneficiaries of services and inclusion of the school community.

Supported Amnesty International after-school clubs and campus groups by advising teacher sponsors and student leaders; copy-editing and composing articles for youth publications; creating resources and by maintaining NSYP’s webpage and blog.

Implemented fundraising and development plan established during Spring 2007 semester in Managing Fund Raising and Philanthropy course. Plan included prospect research, use of an annual fund gift range chart, integrating donor tracking systems, event planning and revision of direct mail packets.

Promoted three times within a five-year period. As one of only 20 market trainers across the country, and the youngest one, trained and transitioned managers, and implemented operational roll-outs in the southern Mid-Atlantic Region. Improved revenue 40% and guest satisfaction scores 30%, which propelled the McLean store from #32 to #6 in internal company rankings. Received “Beyond the Call of Duty” customer service award, twice; and “Cornerstone Award” for highest sales per square foot.
