As a Patient Relations Liaison/Preceptor, I was depended upon for my ability to educate dialysis patients on their insurance options based on their needs while recommending services that would be cost effective for their income. In addition to communicating effectively with patients and employees, I kept track of patient information by using a client database, created and generated reports, and effectively managed key accounts. In fact, I was the point of contact for patients, physicians, case managers and hospitals when confirmation of information was needed as well as swift resolutions to problems when decisions makers were unavailable. In addition, I provided in-service trainings to hospital employees to educate them on my role while giving them additional information about insurance and how it affected the overall admissions process for dialysis patients. As a Preceptor, I traveled throughout the country on specific assignments to act as a mentor/trainer to new Patient Relations Liaisons within my company.

As a Financial Coordinator, I explored, recommended, and coordinated the varied financial assistance options available to Fresenius Medical Care's dialysis patients in order to ensure the provision of the best financial resources possible for each patient in their assigned clinics. My job was to maximize business revenue by regularly meeting with dialysis patients at their treatment facility to educate, explore, recommend, and coordinate the varied financial assistance options available to kidney dialysis patients; i.e., Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Supplement, State Renal programs and COBRA. These efforts resulted in million dollar increases in the company's business revenue.
