Dr. Tiffany N. Ford is a mixed methods public policy and public health researcher and advocate whose research explores how gendered racism manifests in the health, economic, and social lives of Black people in the United States and asks: “what would it take for us to be well?” Dr. Ford is a postdoctoral fellow with the Future of the Middle Class Initiative at the Brookings Institution and a health equity postdoctoral research associate with Cornell University’s Politics of Race, Immigration, Class and Ethnicity Research Initiative. Tiffany earned her PhD concentrating in Social Policy from the University of Maryland College Park School of Public Policy in May 2021. In undergrad, she studied Human and Social Development and Economics at University of Miami and she also earned her Master of Public Health with a concentration in Community Health Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Tiffany’s health equity research and advocacy bridges the gap between protest movements, the social and structural determinants of health, and policy interventions at institutional, systems, local, and state levels.
