Volunteer position, co-manage “Pop-up” medical clinic in San Jose, CA. Provide medical care on location in downtown San Jose for the unhoused in our community. Perform basic medical screening, minor wound care, address prescription needs, resource referrals, and provide education. Distribute donated personal care items and Narcan. Oversee amazing volunteer team, ensure compliance with safety and regulation guidelines. Connect with grateful and gracious community members in meaningful way.

Manage patient care for pediatric and adult patients covering the full spectrum of ER services, from minor injuries and illnesses to acutely urgent medical conditions. Mature and trusted clinician that can manage most patients independently, but works collaboratively very well and seek consultation appropriately. Work with ER MDs and hospital staff to meet the needs of a highly diverse patient population while maintaining exceptional quality of care and patient satisfaction. Highly proficient in wound management, fracture care, and recognition and management of respiratory, cardiac, infectious, allergic, and other urgent medical conditions. Effective and communicator with patients, supervisors, consultants, physicians, and ancillary staff. Excels in clinical training and mentoring.

Supervise 16 PA and NP staff in a dynamic Level II Trauma Center serving 75,000 patients per year. Handle all aspects of hiring, training, performance, discipline, and quality assurance for PA and NP staff. Work closely with ER and hospital administration on all aspects of compliance, patient flow, patient satisfaction, corporate metrics, billing requirements, and transition to new Electronic Health Records system.
