Lead the Retail Compliance Center (RCC), a $5 million project dedicated to improving the environmental compliance and sustainability performance of the retail industry. The RCC provides retail-relevant resources, education and peer benchmarking on environmental regulations and compliance, sustainability, energy and program management. Provided strategic direction, managed the web site, developed content and tools, and managed staff, budgets and reporting. • Built the RCC into a leading resource on environmental compliance and sustainability for the retail sector with web-based resources, educational events, and benchmarking that cover topics such as hazardous and solid waste, chemicals in products, water, refrigeration, energy management and sustainability. Helped bring in over $400 thousand in funds for the RCC. • Developed content for the RCC website including e-book on Environmental Management Systems for Retail, Environmental Compliance Leadership Model, and blog posts on a variety of compliance and sustainability topics.• Created interactive platform to help retailers optimize management programs for environmental compliance, energy management, and diversity and inclusion. The platform enables retailers to evaluate their programs, conduct gap analysis, benchmark with peers, and set goals. • Explored innovative approaches to improving environmental compliance programs such as an automated search to identify relevant state and local regulations, applying artificial intelligence and remote technology to enable virtual audits, and innovation competition for new training approaches.• Lead the Environmental Compliance Network, a networking and educational group for retail executives.
