As a litigator and trial lawyer with 17 years of experience in civil and criminal litigation my primary focus is providing impeccable customer service to my clients as well as promoting DEI, fairness, efficiency, and collegiality within the legal profession. My practice at BWS consists of performing Examinations under Oath in tandem with the special investigations unit for insurance carriers and defending Public Entities such as cities, school districts, utility companies and transportation agencies against claims related to dangerous conditions on public property, wrongful conduct or negligent acts of employees, and claims in defense of employment-related matters. At Bassi Edlin Huie & Blum, I litigated a wide variety of general liability matters including business litigation, products liability, premises liability, and catastrophic injury cases. My primary practice areas included business litigation, cannabis law, construction law, product liability, toxic tort as well as trucking and auto casualty. Given my insurance industry experience, I employed my nuanced knowledge, creative problem solving, and versatile skill set to collaborate effectively with clients, business executives, and claims professionals on complex, high impact, and multi-party cases.

As a partner in the Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois I was a member of the General Liability Practice who litigated a wide variety of cases including general liability, premises liability, and personal injury matters. My practice within the GL Group included wrongful death, Homeowners Association disputes, business/commercial disputes, indemnity, real property disputes, and intentional torts.

I supervised and oversaw litigation matters to implement defense strategy through trial while defending insureds and the affiliate companies of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group against personal as well as commercial bodily injury and casualty lawsuits throughout Los Angeles County. In addition, I worked with the Special Investigation Unit whose primary focus was to identify and investigate insurance fraud.

In 2011, I launched The Walls ~ Fox Firm, a client oriented law practice dedicated to impeccable service. Practice areas included civil litigation, contract, criminal defense, and estate planning.

Desiring to help those often underrepresented in the community, I joined the Law Offices of Milton C. Grimes, P.C. in 2007 to work under the tutelage of Milton Grimes, a nationally acclaimed litigator and civil rights activist. There, my practice expanded to include the areas of civil rights, criminal defense, and mass tort personal injury litigation.

Upon returning to Los Angeles in 2006 to pursue my dream of practicing entertainment law, I joined the distinguished entertainment law practice of Bonner Law, P.C as its first associate attorney. There, my practice included drafting music licenses, record and production deals, as well as representation, management, performance, and appearance agreements for musicians, actors, artists, writers, composers, and producers as well as researching developing issues within the entertainment, new media, and music industries.

While at UM Law, I focused my studies in entertainment and intellectual property courses to prepare to practice sports and entertainment law. To that end, I was an active member of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society (ESLS), serving as the 2005-2006 ESLS President and the 2004-2005 ESLS Vice President of Sports. During this time I was also a member of Phi Alpha Delta, the Black Law Students Association as well as a student member of the American Bar Association Sports and Entertainment Law Section and the Florida Bar Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Section.In recognition of my research, analytical, and writing skills, I was invited to join the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review (IALR) in the Fall Semester of 2004, and served as a Staff Editor from 2004-2005. As the 2005-2006 IALR Symposium Editor, I brought together several leading scholars on immigration, immigration reform, and Cuban affairs in the thought provoking symposium: “40 Years of the Cuban Adjustment Act – End of an Era?”. Based on my interest in German studies and knowledge of the language and culture, I was also selected to participate in the 2004-2005 Miami-Leipzig Seminars, a set of bi-national legal seminars on developing international controversies. The initial seminar was held at the University of Miami and the subsequent seminar was held at the University of Leipzig, Germany.

While at UCLA I participated as a tutor and mentor in the ground breaking PALS Program, volunteered my time as a Unicamp counselor and was chosen as part of the inaugural UCLA Law Fellows class.

I was chosen to participate in the inaugural class of the distinguished UCLA Law Fellows Program, which introduces legal fundamentals and concepts to undergraduate UCLA students interested in pursuing a legal carreer.
