During this time I was also a member of Phi Alpha Delta, the Black Law Students Association as well as a student member of the American Bar Association Sports and Entertainment Law Section and the Florida Bar Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Section.In recognition of my research, analytical, and writing skills, I was invited to join the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review (IALR) in the Fall Semester of 2004, and served as a Staff Editor from 2004-2005. As the 2005-2006 IALR Symposium Editor, I brought together several leading scholars on immigration, immigration reform, and Cuban affairs in the thought provoking symposium: “40 Years of the Cuban Adjustment Act – End of an Era?”. Based on my interest in German studies and knowledge of the language and culture, I was also selected to participate in the 2004-2005 Miami-Leipzig Seminars, a set of bi-national legal seminars on developing international controversies. The initial seminar was held at the University of Miami and the subsequent seminar was held at the University of Leipzig, Germany.
