Reporting to the trainers Adrian Bott and Gai Waterhouse, I was responsible for management of the operational and financial activities.Key responsibilities:• Financial and Management reporting• Lead a team of 100 staff to achieve targets and staff development to ensure job fulfillment and succession• Develop and monitor operational and financial policies• Cost analysis of projects/scenarios to determine best course of action for directors • Cash flow management • Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission for all compliance obligations (payroll, tax, racing, statutory accounts and super) • Manage recruitment, performance management, workers compensation and WH&S • Negotiate supplier contracts/rates • Manage procurement and IT (including contracts, policies, tender documents)

C&M is a professional organisation servicing 2,000 clients per week, employs 45 staff members and partners with over 10 local schools.Key achievements: • Restructured the business by consolidating it to a single site whilst maintaining total revenue previously generated by two sites • Managed the change in implementing new leadership positions and streamlined processes• Achieved the highest number of bookings with 2,000 clients in 2018• Project managed the transition to an online booking platform and change of payment structure to monthly direct debit• Re-developed the remuneration and reward system to provide progression and improve staff retention

Hellmann is a logistics service company with a network of 437 branches worldwide. My role as Financial/Systems Accountant was to ensure the accuracy of the financial reporting to the parent company. My purpose at Hellmann was to assist in the implementation of Oracle. I worked in the head office in Germany to understand how to apply the new operating system to the Sydney branch.Responsibilities: - Key super user of the finance operating system, Oracle- Monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts - Preparation of GST BAS and FBT return - Analysis of foreign exchange impact for the Australian entity - Supervise and coordinate deliverables for the finance team which consisted of Credit Controllers, Assistant Accountants, Accounts Payable officers and intercompany Accounts ClerksAs I had achieved a successful implementation of the new finance system I left Hellmann to seek another challenge to further develop my skills.

KPMG is a professional services company with expertise in tax, audit and advisory. It is classified as one of the four biggest audit firms in the world. I worked in the audit division at KPMG servicing large public and private companies to meet their regulatory obligations and reporting requirements. I managed a team of junior staff members and reported to Senior Management. I developed project management skills, the ability to build rapport with clients, improved communication skills and was exposed to a large variety of reporting systems. I was selected to learn "Lean" concepts and process improvement ideologies and apply these to a large telecommunications company.

KPMG offers an internship role over the summer period for students to undertake before completing their last year of university. Fortunate enough to be accepted into the program, I was exposed to the function of the audit division, gained insight into client engagements and worked alongside highly regarded leaders at KPMG. At the completion of this program I was offered a full time graduate role in the audit division at KPMG.
