Reference Supervisor
Current● Facilitate and implement services centered on the library's vision, mission, and values● Update the organization's Reference Quality Standards to shift focus to customer-centered service; Work with the Library Board to rewrite Staff Handbook● Assist with coordinating a team of ten Librarians focused on initiatives related to equity,diversity, and inclusion - including hiring practices, an institutional statement onequity, and the relationship between local police and the library● Migrate processes to electronic formats, which resulted in time-savingopportunities throughout the fiscal year while maintaining an efficient and appropriate levelof data input● Analyze data to assist in evaluating and managing staff levels, and library events, and to make collection-related decisions● Responsible for establishing the library as a passport acceptance facility and creatingall related staff- and public-facing policy and workflow; This project resulted in asuccessful revenue stream for the organization that allowed the library to reduce theirdebt and advance their customer-focused services and policy● Member of a team of representatives from libraries statewide that is responsible forevaluating and make decisions related to state library-purchased electronic databases● Assist team members in developing annual goals that play to their strengths, build skills,and fulfill the library’s Strategic Plan and mission● Organize the library's advocacy efforts, including training library staff on best practices in championing libraries; Proficient in collaborating with lawmakers and key stakeholders on data-driven and library-focused legislation
