As a member of the council I connected with other student environmentalists to share our ongoing projects (both independent and department sponsored) progress and look for advise. Together we formed initiatives for gaining funding for sustainability efforts, campus wide plastic bag bans, forming a sustainability club, and improving compost off campus. We shared resources and contacts with each other to help empower change on campus and in the community.

We also hosted demonstrations on waste reduction.Regular use of social media to promote all events we host on campus and to share opportunities from sustainable development to the entire OSU campus.RecruitingI recruited 90% of the volunteers required for the 2018 Great Move Out through email, social media, class presentations, and direct contact.
