Responsibilities include overall responsibility for production operations, i.e. production work management, work scheduling and results -responsible development of the unit, as well as front-line tasks. Development tasks are e.g. process development, software comparisons, selections and implementations, training and inclusion of personnel in decision making.

As a development manager, I have been involved in projects dealing with Process and IT infrastructure development, workflow automation, and productization. Achievements include automating the prepress process and implementing a new CRM software Hubspot. Additionally, I am involved in the staff competence development and Niini's environmental aspects, helping with certifications such as Ekokompassi and the Nordic ecolabel (Joutsenmerkki).I am also occupational health and safety manager.

Production automatisation and productisation

As the COO/Director of operations, I was responsible for establishing and documenting policies, processes and working instructions enabling smoother run of operations. I wrote the Framme playbook and designed and implemented a custom software called MIA for project management permitting financial forecasting.It was also my responsibility to lead the application process for Bcorp sustainability certification which required establishing and implementing company-wide business processes and metric reports required for the certification.

As the Sourcing Specialist, I managed the coordination side of the projects enabling sales to concentrate on building relationships. The work was extremely interesting and fast-paced with around 25 different projects running in parallel monthly. The projects we did were with industry-leading creative agencies like TBWA, Ciceron and Tapaus. In this role, I began to work on the system to run the projects that would later become a software called MIA. I was also leading the change of organizational structure to clarify and simplify working roles.

As a buyer, I have been responsible for optimizing the supply chain from the supplier through global hubs to the customer site. This has required close cooperation with different stakeholders eg. suppliers, account managers, product managers etc. (by e-mail and collaboration calls). Also understanding the planning process has been crucial in being able to deliver on time. It has required being able to work under uncertainty, course correct quickly and solve problems creatively.I am also responsible for the competence development of about 135 people, which includes leading by example, the creation of yearly development plans for the team and motivating the team to prioritize continuous development.Tools mastered in this position are MS Office, nowadays Office 365 and SAP. I have also been nominated as SAP key user.

Else Design Oy is a small green design company designing and selling prestige flower planters. While working there I was helping plan and produce the company's marketing materials. This is included writing press releases and contacting media, participating in product photo shoots. I was also writing content to their web page.I had a strong role in the quality management of the production. The company was in process of finding a reliable production plant in Europe and we received several samples from which we had to choose the best option to go forward with.I was also responsible for sourcing and procuring different types of components (metal hanging hooks, cotton string, filter cloth etc) to the products (three types of prestige flower planters). Usually I only had a verbal description of the component wanted when I started the search. I had to find the best quality to match the brand but also the most affordable option since the budget was small. The work was very interesting and challenging. It required creative solutions and quickly gaining the knowledge of different types of products.
