Service tech lead on the Department for Education's new "Apply for teacher training" service that allows prospective teachers to apply for teacher training courses.Built out the development group from 3 to 10+ Ruby developers, split into 2 teams. Managed and supported the tech leads, set architectural direction and coordinated with other teams in DfE

Providing technical leadership for a group of ~35 developers. Mentoring and line management. Working closely with tech leads to work out backlogs, architecture and technical strategy. Working with mission teams to improve velocity, code quality and pay down tech debt.

Led a number of agile teams together with a Product Manager and Delivery Manager, working on the roadmap, prioritisation, story writing, running stand-ups, retros and doing general team management.

Worked on improving search and navigation. Refactored large parts of the internal search application. Improved productivity with a browser extension to improve developer experience on GOV.UK.

Responsible for Lemon scented tea's social media agency "The Travel Agency". Developing digital campaigns for brands like K-Swiss, Danone, Liga, Hogeschool of Amsterdam, Regiobank/SNS and UNICEF.Developed internal tools for measurement of PR campaign management, as well as a social media campaigning tool.

Held various positions during my tenure at Favela Fabric. First as a Community Manager (2007-2008), my responsibilities included engaging with customers on Favela's innovation-focused discussion platforms. Worked on the pioneering KLM Bluelab, De Nationale Dialoog (Publieke Zaak), KLM Ground Source and Achter de Duinen (The Hague - City Marketing).Later, as a community analyst (2008-2009), I was tasked with research and analysis for the Favela platforms, like AEGON's internal community. Activities included advising on dialogue strategies, building internal tools for monitoring activity, and developing novel ways of engaging users in communities.As Interaction Designer (2008 onwards), I developed the interaction design for online community projects for Menzis (health insurance), XS4ALL (ISP), Eneco (energy) and 21 Dagen Debat (Publieke Zaak & BKB Campagnebureau), as well as working on internal tools for analysis and training, and the Favela Fabric Cocreation Platform.
