About Tim Lewis

My career has enabled me to study, work and travel all over the World. I like working as a Governance, Risk and Compliance Subject Matter Expert within the IT and Digital Banking sector because it is a high skilled, knowledge based environment where collaboration, team work and continuous learning are essential. I have the capacity to develop clear and concise compliance solutions from complex regulatory requirements, this can save colleagues time and money, as well as keep the business out of potential difficulty and remain fully compliant. I enjoy working with people at all levels to develop sustainable solutions and achieve and exceed ambitious targets. People and goal orientated, with a consistent record of delivery through strong oral and written communication skills, I have presented at workshops and conferences and like working with colleagues 1:1 as well as part of a wider team.Highly qualified, I studied for a masters in Corporate Governance and Ethics whilst working full time, I like to gain a good understanding of the bigger picture, to understand context and wider business objectives, before diving down into the detail to identify, manage and reduce risk and identify root causes and lessons learnt. The opportunity to make a difference motivates me, I have the ability to build and lead high performing teams through culture, process and mentoring, I believe that if you get this combination right and are supported by organisation goals and value led incentives, you can generate the momentum needed to make a huge difference and create a ‘can-do’ environment where anything is possible and everything achievable. I offer full audit lifecycle experience and like working with internal and external auditors, this gives the opportunity to demonstrate what the organisation is doing well and to identify through the report process areas for further improvement.
