Past Time role to mature the start up finance function, enabling the business to scale up rapidly with the right financial intrastructure in place to support it through the transition.

Currently responsible for overseeing the group finance function including financial accounting, corporate tax and treasury functions across UK and US subsidiaries in a fast growth luxury retail group:Monthly and weekly management reporting and forecasting under UK GAAP.Analysis and evaluation of financial, commercial and operational data for all key business departments.Budgeting and forecasting across the retail, wholesale and head office divisions.Cashflow and treasury management with strong banking relationships.Continual review and improvement of key business processes, efficiencies and controls to ensure the control environment is strong enough for the growing business.Review and assessment of financial agreements to improve operating results where applicable.Implementation and testing of SAP B1 & retail EPOS system.Problem solving through challenges of international growth.Preparation of quality due diligence and audit information under tight timeframes.Financial control and compliance.Leading and developing the finance team.

I lead the finance function for a UK GAAP sub group through the transition from having a UK parent company to a US parent. I was responsible for the day to day running of the finance team which delivered quality monthly management reporting, budgeting and forecasting under both UK and US GAAP.Main achievements following the change in ownership included:- Provision of accurate, high quality information for due diligence to enable Warner Brothers to purchase a majority shareholding.- Transition of month end processes under UK GAAP to dual reporting which also included US GAAP.- Aided development of innovative methodology to facilitate reporting through tight timeframes under US GAAP and UK GAAP on one accounting system.Aside from undertaking the challenges presented by the change in company ownership, responsibilities also included:- Monthly reporting to Exec Committee and Parent Company. - Detailed Production budgeting, Company budgeting and reforecasting.- Transformed management reporting through the improvement and development of strong controls and processes. This benefitted the company through faster information distribution and more accurate month end/year end numbers.- Smooth running year end audit with immaterial findings.
