Responsible for planning expert group meeting on identifying best practices in national action plans in violence against women, including drafting background documentation and identifying expertsResearch and draft guide on implementing international norms on trafficking in women and girls at the national level. Assist in developing technical cooperation programs on implementing concluding observations of the CEDAW Committee and on creating comprehensive legislation addressing violence against women. Conducts research on the impact of the financial crisis on social development and the root causes of violence against women. Organize and assist in moderating the Commission for the Status of Women which brings together representatives from governments and civil society to discuss progress made on implementing the Beijing Platform for Action and other measures to eliminate gender inequality.Conduct research and develop position papers on addressing human rights violations of particularly marginalized groups of women, including indigenous women, rural women and other women experiencing multiple forms of discrimination.Conduct research on application of CEDAW in national and regional courts.

Defend the human rights and health of pregnant and parenting women; working at the intersection of health, reproductive justice, drug policy and criminal justice reform.
