Responsible for developing, and coordinating comprehensive, corporate-wide security policies and safety programs to address a variety of issues including physical security, shipping & receiving procedures, investigations and regulatory compliance. This includes ensuring security operations meet the compliance standards for the following certifications: SSAE 18 Type 2 audit, PCI DSS 3.2, ISO 27001, Type 2 SOC audit, HIPAA, and FISMA Moderate.Oversee administration and operation of the organization’s security systems and staff of 94+ security team members over six diverse campuses. Managed multiple subcontractors for projects as well as new data center builds. These new builds include CA2, CA3, SV1, HI1, TX1, PH1, CH1, and VA2, VA3, VA4, VA5 and VA6. Provided coaching, mentoring, and consultation to staff to enhance staff development. Work cross-functionally with IT Operations and Critical Facility Operations to enable clear lines of communication, collaboration and support. This includes cross training to ensure more efficient teamwork between these groups. Administer annual employee evaluations for 30+ team members.Assisted with special events and projects that enhanced our customers experience and increased our public profile.Assist with hosting frequent conferences and networking events to assist with building relationships in the IT & security industry. Serve as a liaison to law enforcement, intelligence, and investigative agencies and professional counterparts within the industry.Provide security design layouts to be used in the RFP process for future buildings and projects. This includes any changes or updates to existing systems.Travel frequently between campuses to effectively oversee and maintain security operations.Assist with researching, identifying, and securing vendor relations including negotiating costs.Design and implement custom security solutions based on client need or industry changes. Serve as one of the main investigative sources for security issues across the organization.
