 As Procurement Buyer, I was challenged to save Titan, Inc. 10% annually on all "Direct Materials" for ALL projects - this goal was met and documented EVERY YEAR I was employed at Titan, Inc. I also nurtured relationships with various suppliers that resulted in 30% cost reduction of existing product with minimal design improvements. Other duties included: Challenged and held accountable for ensuring component availability at a fair price for our customer orders.  Researches and recommends new/potential suppliers, parts and services with emphasis on cost reduction. Quote, purchase and expedite timely deliveries of assigned items, supplies, and materials  Acts as liaison between suppliers and engineering and quality.  Follow company guidelines for all aspects of purchasing, including but not limited to preapproval for purchases.  Investigate suppliers’ capability to furnish materials, finished parts, and service performance to develop adequate and reliable sources of supply.  Assist in developing new and alternative sources of supply, in addition to increasing delivery frequency to reduce on hand inventory.  Follow up on back orders, expedites delivery of orders and makes special arrangements for delivery; communicates to the department to expected delivery date.  Coordinate with Quality and Accounting departments to facilitate return and debit memos for rejected product and to resolve purchase order related problems with invoices. Obtain quotations, Negotiate purchases of steel fabrications, Machined components, hydraulic and electrical components within prescribed dollar limits with respect to price, discounts, quality, quantity and due dates. Update and follow up on all Purchase Orders and Bills of Materials utilizing Kewitt Job Boss Software and Excel Software

Input information in the Catalog Management System (CMS) as well as EParts.
