• A busy role incorporating a large volume of setting up and posting client account property transactions using online banking terminals (Barclays BIB/.Net – HSBC Online) and Elite Enterprise. Also placing monies on treasury and designated deposit.• Daily reconciliations of both Sterling and foreign accounts including from time to time given set projects to identify old client and suspense balances, find homes for old monies, this would require internet searches, letters to remitting banks, old clients etc.•Sole responsibility for the entire firm’s client to office transfers (adhering to the 14 day rule) to settle client/non client bills and non vatable disbursements’. Working closely with billers when needed to reverse and reallocate payments to existing bills and credit notes.•Ensuring office account cheques are banked in a timely fashion in line with SRA.•Applying interest to client matters upon completion of matters •Dealing with fee earner / Secretary queries on matter transactions and balances•Posting/Reconciling and payment of the firms travel and accommodation via Reed & MacKay Online Travel Portal•Reconciliation of petty cash / arranging foreign currency for fee earners trips•General floating around the cashiering team picking up other colleagues duties when absent / sick or to ease workflow. i.e Posting Counsel fee to system payment of Client & Office account cheques
