In my time as a Production Associate, my main responsibilities were coordinating the seasonal processes: batch transfers, carryover, returns, rebag, and lab/shakeouts. With an emphasis on maintaining safety and quality standards, my goal was to achieve site performance targets while continuing to develop and enhance my leadership style while learning and observing other leaders at the Waco site. My main emphasis as a Seed Technician was to manage all warehouse operations to maintain an efficient logistics system to internal facilities and customers while upholding the integrity of all products. In this role, I began to develop leadership skills of assigning daily direction of small groups. During the slow shipping seasons, I took it upon myself to find other opportunities to enhance my process knowledge of production.• Oversee the flow of 2.7+ million packaged seed units and various packaging supplies through the production facility• Ensure inventory accuracy and supply management, while implementing Bayer’s Production System to become a world-class organization• Design and analyze metrics related to warehouse operations, including the implementation of 5S projects and continuous improvement projects• Implemented and oversee daily inventory cycle counts, track shipments picked by warehouse personnel to analyze for improvements and efficiencies, and reduce redundancies in the workflow to reduce workload by 10+ hours weekly
