Executive DirectorMajor Projects Victoria Jan 2012 - Jun 2017Reporting to the Minister for Major Projects, responsible for delivery of a $2bn portfolio of complex, unique projects of state significance including sports stadia, arts venues, urban regeneration and scientific research facilities, as well as feasibility studies and project development for a pipeline of potential projects worth up to $10bn.Significant projects successfully delivered include the redevelopment of Hamer Hall, the Galleries of Remembrance at Melbourne’s Shrine of Remembrance, the Victorian Emergency Services Training Centre and over $500m of redevelopment at Melbourne Park including the National Tennis Centre and the new Margaret Court Arena. Ongoing property development projects include the Ballarat West Employment Zone, Parkville Gardens and the Kew Residential Services Development.Major Projects Victoria (MPV) was an autonomous organization of some 50 people within Victoria’s Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources. As Executive Director, I led MPV through a period of significant organisational change, including its transition into the new entity, Development Victoria, while maintaining its record of successful project delivery. From May to June 2016, duties were carried out as part of Development Victoria, with the title of General Manager- Civic Projects.

Project DirectorMajor Projects Victoria 2008 - 2012As Project Director, completed the Melbourne and Olympic Parks Masterplan, prepared the business case to secure funding for Stage 1 of the project, and began implementation of the Melbourne Park Redevelopment. At nearly $1bn over 12-15 years, the project is the biggest sporting infrastructure development ever undertaken by the State of Victoria, and is part of an agreement between the State Government and Tennis Australia which confirms Melbourne Park as the home of the Australian Open until 2035.
