I have over 30 years experience as a principal in the real estate sector. I started off my career with pioneering developer Broadwell Land Plc before moving to Artesian Estates Ltd where I spent 7 years. Artesian successfully raised funds through the BES and EIS schemes to invest in residential development for rent and sale respectively. I resigned as director in December 1997 to run the family interests of Monteagle Barlow Trust (MBT). I successfully changed the focus of the business and have considerably grown its asset base over the years. In 2002 alongside this, I set up Squarestone with business partner Robert Sloss. Squarestone started by creating a Central London office investment fund which was seeded by MBT and Robert's investment vehicle before inviting third party investors to co-invest. Squarestone successfully exited in 2006/2007. Squarestone has actively developed Shopping Centres in Brazil and developed Residential, Office and Retail in the UK. Squarestone in 2011 incubated a new mid-market residential development business, Hub Residential is active in Zones 2-5 and in the value range £450-£850 per sq ft and is looking in regional cities.
