Main emphasis is copywriting. I work on a freelance basis, both on and off site, for P&O Cruises and Cunard. My main responsibility is writing copy for a full range of marketing activities, ranging from direct mail and national advertising campaigns, to in-house magazines, sales literature, web copy and leaflets and brochures. Working to tight deadlines, as part of a team of in-house creatives, a high level of output is achieved while enhancing the brands.

Handled the day-to-day marketing activities and delivered on key projects both internally and into the market for Gourmet Classic – the inventors of the Cooking Wine category in the UK. Successfully rebranded the company, launched the new company website (and product-specific websites), launched several new products and initiatives, and coordinated the redesign of most of the product packaging to reflect the new company proposition of 'Serving Better'.

Acting as the main point of contact with NCL’s Miami headquarters and advertising agency in Los Angeles, I controlled all aspects of the main UK brochure, including planning and researching, deployment issues and choices, layout, photography and copy approvals, repro and print buying (achieving substantial savings on previous years) and press approvals. Produced over-branded mini brochures, new ship launch collateral, past passenger club materials and travel agent booking incentives & programmes. Also worked in NCL’s office in Bern, Switzerland, where I coordinating all materials for Europe. Strong emphasis on copywriting, editing and proofreading.

Responsible for all elements of the marketing mix including planning campaigns, designing, writing and placing ads and monitoring performance for this tour operator specialising in worldwide adventure holidays. Built-up and developed the brand through the distribution to a database of over 68,000 consumers with quarterly newsletters, designed and produced (in-house). Maintained the high quality of brochure production and all company literature and materials, as well as promotional activity and website enhancements.
