In my youth, I never looked at time as a commodity. Time has become not only my profession but a passion. As a labor standards analyst, I have had the pleasure of learning about so many different activities in the grocery industry. Through these activities we can set standards and expectations that are fair and reasonable for all to achieve. Both employees and management benefit from well managed standards which result in labor savings that continue to reward over the long term. The side affect of such a profession is I find myself timing stoplights to work out the most efficient path home!I love new experiences that keep us improving on what we've learned. I've been blessed with a career working with WinCo Foods for almost 25 years. With over 20 years experience in setting/maintaining labor standards in warehouse and retail (grocery) locations. I the warehouse environment we have discrete standards that can measure performance at an individual level. I've had the pleasure of working directly in our warehouse. The benefit of this knowledge has helped with improving standards as well as the product layout to promote safe and effective pallet construction. Stores operate under a group or department standard. Employees teach me what is done and I take that knowledge and turn it into a standard.
