I am a 33 year veteran and career Officer of the Australian Army. I achieved the rank of Brigadier and am now seeking an encore career where my skills in high-level management can be used for the good of the nation and human kind in general. In recent years, I have been responsible for the modernisation of the Australian Special Forces where my proven ability to develop focused teams and operate in challenging environments necessitated dynamic and often unconventional approaches and thinking. Prior to this, I participated in and led government to government cost sharing initiatives resulting in the most favourable outcomes for Australia as a highly effective negotiator in complex agreements, particularly where national interests are involved. I have also led the most fundamental force structure change within Army in the last 50 years. I have a proven track record in partnership development – both internationally and domestically. I am articulate and decisive, acting from a basis of deep understanding and principle-centric leadership.
