Tim graduated summa cum laude from Cornerstone University (’81) with a BA in English and philosophy, and with honors from Western Michigan University (’86) with an MA in professional writing. Following his bachelor’s, Tim worked as a proofreader and copyeditor at Zondervan, and upon graduation from his master’s work, he took a position as managing editor at Discovery House Publishing, where he managed the publication of "My Utmost for His Highest" (Updated Edition) and the "The Complete Works of Oswald Chambers" (book and CD). Tim then assumed acquisition and publishing responsibilities for the Bible Department at Zondervan, where he contributed to such projects as "The Knowing Jesus Study Bible" (winner of the Gold Medallion and the Angel Award), "The Archaeological Study Bible" (in partnership with Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary), and the Audie Award-winning "NIV Audio Bible Dramatized."Tim then joined World Vision as founder and publisher of World Vision Press, where he worked with such authors as former World Vision president Ted W. Engstrom, Joni Eareckson Tada, and Ken Boa on issues of prayer, leadership, and international service. In 2005 Tim established Credo Communications LLC, a company that works with Christian ministry leaders and organizations to develop life-changing books, Bible-related products, and other Christian resources. Tim also serves as Adjunct Professor of Editing at Cornerstone University (Grand Rapids, MI) and as Instructor of Publishing at University of the Nations (Kona, HI, and Harpenden, UK). Tim is co-writer of "On the Side of Angels: A Human Rights Manifesto from a Christian Perspective" (Authentic/IVP), editor and compiler of "The Essential Engstrom: Leader to Leaders" (Authentic/IVP), and general editor of several Bible editions, including "Holy Bible: Mosaic" (Tyndale), "The Red Letters" and "Teach Us to Pray" (Crossway), and "The Stewardship Study Bible" (Zondervan).
