I have years of experience in the civil construction industry in New Zealand and Australia. I worked for the Ballarat City Council in Victoria, Australia for two years starting off in a Graduate Engineering role in the Assets Department of Infrastructure and Delivery. I gained valuable experience in Council asset management - Roading and drainage infrastructure, footpaths etc. I was then promoted to the Asset Management Project Officer role where I oversaw the various subcontractors operating under/for the Australian government-owned corporation tasked to design, build and operate Australia's National Broadband Network.I also oversaw various short term asset management and infrastructure projects one of which included the upgrade of dangerously dilapidated major culverts. I joined Downer NZ in 2015 and have been a Site Engineer then Project Engineer in two high profile Waka Kotahi infrastructure Projects- SH2/SH58 Haywards Interchange and currently the Christchurch Southern Motorway Stage 2 Upgrade. My focus is always to ensure quality, safety and productivity are foremost on project sites. Testament to this was the recent CCNZ John Carson Memorial award for Health and Safety on the SH2/SH58 Haywards Interchange.In late 2019 I joined the Fulton Hogan team to help lead and deliver a major variation to the Christchurch Northern Corridor Project. The work delivered, large gantry installations, a new high occupancy vehicle lane and shared use footpath linking Kiapoi to the newly constructed Corridor through to Christchurch. The large gantry installations and accompanying ITS network and signage are the first of its kind in the South Island of New Zealand.I am now working in the GIS space for Fulton Hogan Canterbury
