Mr. Beres is the Executive Vice President at CNA for the Institute for Public Research, a non-profit organization providing research and analysis to a diverse array of federal, state, and local government agencies. He is a nationally recognized expert in homeland security, policing, and public safety, having published articles and delivered speeches on a wide range of subjects critical to safety and security. Particular topic areas of interest to Mr. Beres include homeland security risk management, preparedness and response, collaborative police reform, and SMART policing. Throughout his career, Mr. Beres has led large, cross-functional teams in delivering thoughtful, data-driven research and program implementation in the public interest. Under Mr. Beres’s leadership, these organizations have pioneered analytical methods, developed new product lines, and opened new markets, all while delivering consistent financial growth.
