I am all about creating great communities. Throughout my career, I have sought venues to design, develop, and manage communities that are well designed and offer warm, inviting, and satisfying lifestyles to their residents. My appreciation for community began in college as a student of architectural history and learning how villages, towns, and cities have been created over time. I was very impressed to learn how design can enhance the quality of life in these communities. At the same time, I developed a desire to have a strong personal community. Born in my parent's hometown of Baltimore, Maryland, I returned there immediately after college and sought to build my community there. I have done so ever since. I have used an MBA to produce multifamily housing, single family neighborhoods, and planned communities to accomplish my career goals. Land acquisition and appraising have given me additional perspectives on the formation and financial value of community building. My most recent role allowed me to work with a community from the opposite end of the spectrum: it was a completed community where the purpose was to sustain it while endeavoring to improve it as well. All the while I have maintained my effort to save what is best in our communities as a volunteer with an historic preservation organization.Along the way, I have developed hard skills in land development management, land acquisition, land valuation, market research, financial analysis, community management, and budgeting. My success using these skills results from leadership, collaboration, attention to detail, organization, and communication. David Adler, an investment partner, said, "My experience with Tim has been very favorable. He is tenacious, knowledgeable and hard-working. Also, he has many contacts in the real estate field."The sum total of my effort is the creation and sustainment of well designed places where people want to live. In that I have succeeded. For those of you who would also like to create great communities, I would love to have a conversation.
