Tim is an Associate AIA, and is a consultant to the California Nevada Cement Association (CNCA), communicating with the architectural and development community. Tim is aiding in a campaign of informing architectural, engineering and construction firms for first understanding and ultimately implementing a more environmentally friendly cement to the market. Tim feels it is vital to play an active role in improving the global climate situation that is on most everyone’s mind for our future generations. This greener cement is in the form of Portland Limestone Cement or PLC, which in simple terms, uses about 10% less cement in the cement formulation and is replaced with limestone and therefore allows for about a 10% reduction in greenhouse gases attributed to cement today. Tim is also a California Real Estate Broker, has his office in Silicon Valley, California, and has had extensive experience in Real Estate since 1975, including the financial analysis and acquisition of institutional investment property. As an affiliate member of the SF Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, Tim has served on the Mentorship Committee. With his background in architecture stemming from a degree in architecture from UC Berkeley, he connects business enterprise solutions and services via his relationships with key architects and other large scale commercial development players throughout California and beyond. Tim is particularly interested in the aspect of architecture that can contribute to improving the global climate environment through reduced carbon emissions for improved sustainable developments. As part of his activity with SFAIA, he organized a panel discussion at AIASF titled "Creating Great Concrete in an Environmentally Sensitive World". On a personal level, Tim is also passionate about making a difference for health challenged children with his photography work, helping create a sense of awe and wonder in children seeing images in his book Imagery To Life come to life with the magic of technology. His Imagery books, made possible through charitable donations, have been additions to Ronald McDonald House and Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. More on this at https://www.ImageryToLifeBook.com. Tim has also created this book as both an Apple Book and Kindle edition. Because of this passion of bringing nature to children, Tim has also created a platform for the healing power of nature, where he displays references of quotes, articles and talks on his site at https://www.NatureToHealing.com.
