CurrentProvided senior level bringing stability and enterprise level strategy into the company’s core products. Lead the team with new roadmaps replacing applications that were not able to be revamped to move the bar forward for the company at the same time as driving a new enterprise level mentality into the team. Delivering new products, enhancements to existing systems allowing for increased processing volume while reducing hours required to support the product. Drove consolidation roadmaps taking 12 acquired systems and standardizing on one consolidated system.- Led a Treasury project that automated the collection and remittance of $4.5 Billion annually across 40,000 payments. This included funding events, payments, reconciliation and automated communications with the customers.- Managed 11 teams with 8 direct reports and 113 total employees spread across 7 states and 2 continents. These teams are responsible for the Design, Development, Testing of 141 applications. - Introduced automation into a previously manual monthly returns processing cycle. At the same time as the volume of returns increased by 30%, the introduced automation projects decreased the employee hours by 52%.- Retooled the company’s returns process application in a SAS based designed. Allowing the company to extend offers to 3rd party accounting firms. - Designed and managed initiative to migrate all self-hosted applications to within the Returns team and Excise to Amazon AWS. This included Avalara’s first enterprise class production system hosted within AWS. This included taking advantage of AWS’s RDS, VPC, SQS, EC2, S3 and ElastiCache offerings.
