Research Project Developer At Expertise Network 'Health And Care'
Phd Fellow
Building on my Master thesis research, the main focus of this FWO-funded research is to develop a pretreatment planning platform to optimize drug delivery during transarterial therapies for liver cancer, using state-of-the-art numerical and experimental techniques.

Next to my research, I am closely involved as a teaching assistant in several courses: 'Engineering Project' (1st Bachelor), 'Modelling of Physiological Systems' (2nd Bachelor), 'Biomechanics' (3rd Bachelor), 'Vakoverschrijdend project' (3rd Bachelor) & 'Computational Biofluid Mechanics' (1st/2nd Master) as well as anually supervising several Master theses at the Faculties of Medicine and Engineering.

My first non-fiction book 'De medische revolutie' is coming out in October 2023. In this book, I highlight the potential of technology to improve healthcare systems, while also warning for the possible negative impact these technologies can have. I also interview experts on their work.
