Vice President Procurement
Current• Responsibility for leading a team focused on creating, recommending, implementing, and managing bank-wide strategies for the procurement of goods & services across related expenditures in Business Travel, ATM Sales/Services, Banking Supplies, Fleet Management, Corporate Real Estate and Marketing Services. The value of these category-related expenditures is approximately $300 million USD on an annual basis. • Development of category strategy that include requirements definition, spend assessment, vendor recommendations, sourcing methodologies, transaction platforms, on-going vendor performance and risk management, contract creation/negotiation and continuous-improvement plans. Utilize project management principles to accomplish these goals. • Construct category management strategies that will deliver the greatest value to U.S. Bank according to U.S. Bank’s goals and objectives. o Demonstrate subject matter expertise regarding category expenditures o Thorough knowledge of U.S. Bank requirements, trends, and relevant business objectives o Understanding of existing vendor base and their respective industry challenges, cost structures, value propositions, and competition o First and Second Line of Defense vendor and risk management support for vendor base.o Utilize Project Management principles and process to ensure timely completion and execution of defined objective• Develop and lead the category management team members to maximize their value to U.S. Bank and provide them with a challenging and rewarding work environment that maximizes their potential. • Recommend business practice changes that will improve the value of U.S. Bank to our vendors and create more effective relationships, resulting in greater value that can be quantified in measurable ways. • On-going assessment and communication of supply base risks to the Procurement organization and internal customers. • Strengthen alignment with internal customers through collaborative communication.
