I am For Impact, guiding people to experience God's love in action through community. I'm the founder and CEO of Many Hands (Many Hands for Haiti). Starting the organization in 2008, Many Hands now manages distributions of 1.5 million meals per year, built four schools, assists over 1,200 children a year to attend school, built over 125 homes and installed cement floors in over 1100 homes, operates a commercial farm and oversees ~700 head of family-owned goats, and hosts over 30 IMPACT teams from around the US per year. This includes operations in Haiti and The Bahamas.While at Many Hands, I also started the for-profit business, Many Hands Thrift Market, to resource the non-profit work. This includes five 22,500+ square foot retail stores in Grimes, Clive, Des Moines, Indianola, and Spencer, IA, selling high-quality secondhand goods and fair trade items. In addition to funding the work in Haiti, Many Hands also gives over $20,000 a year to local non-profits to do great work in our local communities in Iowa. I first went to Haiti after my senior year of high school and now have over 25 years of in-country experience, as well as hold a Masters in Management. In 2024, I authored an Amazon #1 best-seller, Standing on the Shoulders: A Legacy Story of a Father, a Son, and Life's Greatest Gifts. Guiding the reader through this inspiring true story of love, hope, and redemption, I share my father's journey during the last months of his life. Life's greatest gifts are revealed, exploring the deeper questions of what it means to live a good life and how to leave a legacy for future generations. Having traveled extensively for business, he has worked in 47 states and 20 different countries, with previous experience in global strategies, global account management, IT management, and financial planning.
