Pro Bono Lockdown project helping talented ex architect with video for his nascent model railway business. Steve, the owner, had filming flair, but no knowledge of sequence and story construction which I taught through example and in training sessions. I then helped him create a dedicated YouTube channel, researching and targeting audiences with SEO savvy. We have generated two thirds of a million views and 5k followers in just one year, resulting in an alternative revenue stream for the start-up

I transformed CWGC video output, increasing Facebook engagement by 7,332% in a year, generating over 2 million views. Because I can shoot & edit to broadcast standards, three of my films were broadcast by the BBC and ITV - reaching millions of people: "Glad we were able to include your report last night. You'll appreciate that it's very unusual for us to broadcast someone else's packaged content, but this one definitely merited it." (Gerry Jackson, Defence Correspondent, BBC North East). I brought social media video production in-house, generating an exponential increase in output and improving quality - all at minimal cost. Worked with my contact Dan Cruickshank to create pitch and secure commission for documentary about CWGC, to be shown on BBC. Also secured interviews on ITV Good Morning Britain; Sky; Radio 4 (Today programme) and radio 3, as well as numerous regional TV shows.

Recruited to produce videos to promote rule-compliance among charity fundraisers, I expanded this strategy to create interactive e-learning training modules. The project coincided with crisis publicity about charity fundraising. I built a relationship with then Charity minister, Rob Wilson MP, and persuaded him to address the PFRA annual conference, thus creating impression we were on ‘front foot’ in tackling challenges, and working with Govt.

My strategy and rebrand led to:- Substantial global media coverage, including broadsheets, Radio 4 (including Today) and online- Re-built website posted a 1,611% increase in hits in 2 months - Work on SEO established site as number one Google search result

Built politics show to help GMTV avoid substantial fine for regulatory non-compliance. Success included a huge increase in press profile from low base, and improved relations with high profile politicians. My contact with former Met chief, Lord Stevens, led story on the enquiry into the death of Princess Diana being quoted on four continents. Successful stakeholder engagement led to increasingly positive annual reports from regulator, Ofcom.
