Role SynopsisAnalyse Telstra systems to provide detailed Duct Access feasibility studies for the Customer Access Network including Network Infrastructure shortfall to enable external carrier’s tenure to Telstra’s exclusive underground Telecommunications network.Responsibilities• Provide extensive thorough investigation to construct a detailed design for a suitable path for external carriers to provide necessary service to customers in Telstra’s exclusive underground Telecommunication network.• Work closely with NBN CO to provide duct access solutions• Provide Autocad detailed plan• Liaise with Telstra nominated contractors and other accredited contractors in all aspects of duct access work.• Liaise with Telstra Wholesale in all duct access related work. Advise other carriers through Telstra Wholesale to provide necessary advice and ensure that Telstra’s assets are protected.• Ensure that Telstra’s maintenance can be satisfied in every section before allocating tenure to other carriers in Telstra’s exclusive underground Telecommunication network. • Liaise with Area Planners, Capacity planners to get advice in complex issues which involve CAN network, TEBA request, special work locations.Achievements• When ISGM was given contract to do the duct access work I took the lead in providing technical assistance to do the duct access work, particularly focusing on bringing ISGM up to speed with agreed Design standards. • Assisted to transfer all duct access work from hard material to electronic media.• Received reward and recognition for design quality and output.
