After completing a Bachelor of Commerce back in 2013, I started my professional career out in accounting, working both in public practice and later internally for a hospitality group. In 2022 I began working as a NetSuite consultant for Team Blue Sky. This was a great opportunity to utilise my existing accounting experience, while growing skills in project management, problem solving and building relationships with a great client base. In 2021, I returned to university, studying a Bachelor of Science (Environmental Science) at Flinders University. This change has allowed me to foster a genuine interest in the natural world and how a broad range of sciences are connected. University has also helped me to develop further skills in fieldwork, data collection and the resulting report writing, with projects focussing on flora and fauna surveys, groundwater assessments, coastal geomorphology studies and environmental impact assessments. Upon completion of my degree, I immediately started full time at Ennovo as an Environmental Scientist. Wearing many different hats at Ennovo has given me a wide range of experience, working on projects in carbon credit reporting/forecasting, contaminated land, landfill gas monitoring, organic waste treatment and GIS analysis. This has given me a great base for continued growth in the environmental industry, whilst utilising my previous professional experience in accounting.
