Working as a part of the knowledge management team, I am responsible for the incident management of major faults on Royal Mail's automated mail processing equipment throughout the national mails operation. Using advanced faulting skills, remote diagnostic techniques and detailed analysis of root causes, I support 800 engineers across 37 mail Centres and 150 delivery offices to ensure the failure free operation of over 700 mail processing machines nationally.I provide "Hands on" specialist on-site support throughout the UK when complicated faults cannot be resolved locally.I play a major role in the knowledge transfer between equipment manufacturers and Mail Centre engineering and operational teams, through coaching, training and knowledge sharing documentation. I am also responsible for the upkeep of manufacturer's maintenance manuals using structured documentation software.My expertise in mail automation equipment and its effective maintenance and performance has been gained through 17 years experience in the field, continuous development through formal training throughout this time has enabled me to keep up-to-date with the ever changing technology.
