CURRENT ROLEAs Senior Principal Engineer, Rolling Stock with Victoria's Suburban Rail Loop Authority, I am privileged to lead a diverse team to develop and deliver Victoria's first GoA4 (automated), 25kV, fleet of metro trains for the subterranean Suburban Rail Loop ($11.8B committed funding).PREVIOUS ROLES- Melbourne Airport Rail: concept, reference design and specification of a new spur line to Melbourne Airport running existing stock for RPV: $10B committed funding;- Geelong Fast Rail: strategic options review of new express track on the Geelong corridor for RPV: $4B committed funding;- Western Metro Extensions: concept design for electrification of services to Western Melbourne suburbs for RPV, $130M committed funding.- Delivered $1.5B in high profile capital procurement programs for the Victorian State ahead of schedule, including multiple procurement programs of Vlocity trains, X'Trapolis trains, E-class trams, new TMF in Ballarat East and multiple regional stabling yards and refueling facility upgrades.- Accepted new fleet on behalf of the State and undertook quality inspections at overseas and local rolling stock manufacturing facilities in France, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Ballarat (Australia), Dandenong (Australia)- Led $400m investment in tram, suburban and regional train renewal projects for the State of Victoria including leading the State's review of Rolling Stock returnables for both MR4 franchisees- Led a multidisciplinary team to negotiate, design and transition into delivery the worlds largest retrofit of rolling stock remote condition monitoring systems to 738 carriages- Designed, installed, tested and commissioned a variety of operational & safety critical electronic rolling stock systems in most states of Australia, including training of operations and maintenance staff, on EMUs, DMUs and locomotives
