• responsible for ensuring the production success of each event, through knowledge of theatrical elements including staging, lighting, audio, visual, and rigging; leading and supervising the Local 13 IATSE crew of part-time stagehands; working with internal venue teams to execute the production plan from load in to load out; and collaborating with outside audio-visual and touring vendors•Ensure a smooth technical production for events•Whether you are working a concert, tradeshow, gala or convention; all have technical requirements that require equipment, labor, and expertise•Your knowledge of production equipment (lighting, audio, video, soft goods, rigging, staging, knots, rope handling, equipment management, presentation software, and crew leadership) is critical to the success of each event from start to finish•Sometimes your work starts long before the event even arrives, as you will work closely with the event management team to ensure your department is prepared and ready for each event•Being able to see the big picture and identify the key players in getting the job done is key in this role•In this role, your ability to organize and supervise large crews of part-time IATSE members is the key to success•Depending on the scope of the event, you may be working with all in-house equipment, or you may be collaborating with an outside production company to bring the event to life•The ability to build effective and respectful working relationships is essential as the stage technician balances being a representative of both the venue and IATSE equally in this role•Provide top notch customer service
