Tim is involved in a number of denominational activities. Tim served as a lay leader for Noonday Baptist Association in Cobb County, Georgia as the Royal Ambassadors Coordinator.Tim has three sons (Jonathon, John, Davis) and a daughter (Claire). Tim and Melody Burson are celebrating their 23rd year of marriage.

He was hired by Jack Burch to work in the Surety & Fidelity area of practice, although he also worked closely with John Bovis in commecial business collections, Steve Kyle in insurance litigation, and Jimmy Singer in connection with employment and labor litigation. By 1995 Tim was leading the firm's commercial surety practice for various surety clients and their probate bonds, financial institution bonds, public official bonds, mortgage bonds, motor vehicle bonds in addition to a full slate of contract performance and payment bond claims.
