At L.E. Sauer I provide programs to manufacture parts for the corrugated industry, along with miscellaneous one off parts, and job shop work. I post programs to 10 different machines, 3 and 4 axis, with 8 different post configurations. I design fixtures and tooling as part of the manufacturing process as well. I am also responsible for implementing new tooling to reduce machining cost and improve machinability.
  • Gerding Enterprises
    Cnc Programmer / Operator
    Gerding Enterprises Jan 2007 - Jan 2014
At Gerding Enterprises, I manufactured aerospace components. I was involved in projects for Boeing's HALE program, F-18 program, FLIGHT SAFETY, PHANTOM WORKS, and many others. I was responsible for keeping a HAAS SL 20 lathe, and a HAAS VF-4 mill running, along with provide programs for 3 machines. Custom fixturing was a must in most cases because a lot of our work was 5 axis parts, being ran on 3 axis machines. This was a fun, and challenging job!!
  • Ga-Verhen Engineering
    Machinist, Programmer/ Operator
    Ga-Verhen Engineering Jan 2000 - Jan 2007
This was my first job as a machinist. When I was first hired on, my responsiblities were running a saw and handling material for the CNC dept. After a few years, I advanced to drill presses, then advanced to running manual mills and lathes. Once I had been a machinist for about 3 years, I was sent to school for my first CNC class. This was for training on a MAZAK milling machine. I ran a few different CNC's here including, WILLIS, and LAGUN machines, using Anilam programming. I feel fortunate to have found this job because I had the privelidge of learning and working with top notch machinist from McDonnell Douglas.
