Having spent several events as G4/logistics rep, I've recently been given the opportunity to manage several high profile exercise/courses. Most notably, Exercise Chameleon, in Scotland with Formation Readiness Wing(SF), BRF Compound Clearance Course, for Surveillance /Reconsaissance Wing, in Germany, and the UK /International Urban Ops Instructors Course, closer to home on Salisbury. I've now become responsible for manning and payroll, as well as liaison to the military , and continuing training for employees to ensure they have current weapon handling skills and supporting paperwork.

Decided to leave T&C Security Management, as things were getting a little stale. Have since worked for Minimal Risk, Elite Security UK and McKenzie Arnold, as a freelance operative. I have worked several festivals over the summer, providing artist protection, I was also involved in London 2012, as part of the emergency contingency plan put in place by LOCOG. Currently recovering from a dislocated shoulder, looking to get back into the swing of things in November.

Close protection for several high value clients, their families and assets, based primarily in the NW of England, my duties also included regular surveys of estates and business interests, whilst working as part of a Residential Security Team. My more recent work has been surveillance based, working in tandem with Greater Manchester Police, providing information and gathering evidence for their ongoing operations.

Gaining essential security experience within the civilian sector, my duties encompassed everything from CP work to event security/management. Such was the diverse nature of the work within the Ricoh, I quickly picked up many skills neccesary to start my journey in a new field of endeavour. Initially I was tasked with providing protection for clients whilst visiting the casino, as part of the on site security detail. I then became involved with events(exhibitions and concerts), and match day security(searches and protection) for Coventry City FC players and backroom staff. During this period, I was also sub contracted to carry out work at the O2 Arena during filming of the X Factor.

I had a full 22 year career, with the Household Cavalry, our primary role being reconaissance. Ceremonial duty represented our secondary, but no less important role. During this time, I've spent time in various theatres, and travelled extensively with training and exchanges, also spent a number of years fulfilling the ceremonial role, based in central London.Reconaissance work requires many skills, paramount amongst which; good tactical awareness, exemplary map reading and navigation skills, and the ability to think and react quickly to constantly changing situations.
