As an elementary teacher for 20 years, I am experienced in interacting with others and very passionate about my profession. Outside of school, I am known as a YouTuber (that's a thing!), with 25,000 subscribers...and about to hit 3 million video views! Tying flies and fly fishing for 30 years, I moved my experiences and knowledge to YouTube, where I could connect with others, and more importantly, help to educate (and entertain) on a larger scale. This has led to the creation of my website and role as a guest presenter, traveling around the country for fly fishing presentations. My newest book, "Fly Tying for Everyone," was released in 2021.Continuing from an educational perspective, I am also excited with my professional growth as a teacher, and look forward to seeing how the profession grows in the future. Currently possessing certification as a principal, I have placed myself in many leadership and administrative roles within my district.
