I was the sports editor at the Laramie Boomerang and assistant editor for WyoSports.I was a sports paginator at the Wyoming Tribune Eagle in Cheyenne.I was the General Manager and Editor at the Pierce County Tribune, a weekly newspaper based out of Rugby, N.D.I was previously the sports editor at the Minot Daily News before leaving for the USVI and later returned to be a sports reporter at the MDN.I was previously at the Virgin Islands Daily News in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. I gained experience covering sailing. The Islands also had typical high school sports (football, basketball, soccer, baseball).As a senior at James Madison University, I excelled in the field of journalism. I was the editor-in-chief of the student-run newspaper, The Breeze, and was the sports editor before that.In the summer of 2009 I interned at Al Jazeera English in Washington D.C. I did a little producing, reporting, editing and basically got my first taste of television. I especially liked how Al Jazeera didn't treat me like an intern, but as a member of the team with real responsibilities. In the summer of 2008 I worked for the Daily News-Record in Harrisonburg. My responsibilities included choosing the daily wire stories, editing local copy, writing sports stories relevant to the Shenandoah Valley and pagination. I have won one Virginia Press Association award for the best news series at a non-daily student paper. The series was a three-part look at the life of a JMU basketball player who lost three loved ones prior to his sophomore season.I have also worked on a sports talk show at James Madison University's WXJM. In December of 2009 I also made my debut on Gameday Magazine radio, calling high school basketball.Specialties: Writing, reporting, editing, blogging, fluent in Spanish
