Senior Finance And Investment Support Analyst
CurrentResponsibilities: • Provide technical expertise in support of Finance & Actuarial and Investments projects and initiatives. • Assist with local support of key Finance and Investment systems and related processes, including: - Providing support in relation to the SimCorp Dimension (ICE) investment management platform. - Providing appropriate local support in relation to the operation of SAP systems and/or liaise with relevant AIA Group teams supporting these systems. • Mentor, share knowledge and train other team members to increase overall team capability.• Complete month-end and year-end procedures and other system admin tasks. • Monitor overnight and during day processes and resolving issues that may arise. • Make or request system changes as requested by NZ users following relevant local or AIA Group standards or procedures. • Assist with testing as part of system upgrade projects (including for ICE) and other technology changes. • Respond to audit requests, and manage user access reviews, recertifications and terminations. • Work with system vendors or AIA Group teams to report bugs, problems, and questions on system functionality. • Report development and process automation. • Configuration set up and development of functionality within the ICE and, to the extent required, Finance One applications using the built-in functionality and toolsets. • Take a lead on work or projects to improve processes in the Finance & Actuarial division and the Investments function. Key Achievements: • Annual upgrade successfully completed on time and within budget each year with the UAT testing largely being a support team function.• Completed biannual user reviews across 3 systems as scheduled and to the satisfaction of external auditors and group.• Development of Trial Balance upload process. This involved analysing data from an external source then providing the specifications for data warehouse output for input into a SAP journal template.

Responsibilities: • Subject matter expert for the Fixed Asset and Project migration from local Finance One GL to group SAP GL• Evaluate the existing Finance One fixed asset register to identify any assets that can be removed and any errors that exist• Provide user training and go live support • Recategorize assets into new groupings and reconcile between systemsKey Achievements: • The asset migration was completed on the due date along with the rest of the migration.• Over 10,000 assets were removed from our local GL which left only 5,600 to be migrated which greatly reduced risk and complexity. The GL process to do this had to be researched and tested and a paper for the CFO to approve also had to be produced. Several complicated errors were also identified and resolved.
