I am a development professional with over thirty years of experience in the successful development and implementation of international development activities. This includes cultivating and facilitating working relationships with government, civil society, communities, and the private sector in Africa and Asia. I have worked for CSOs, bilateral development partners, and the United Nations Development Programme. My experience includes fifteen years representing, negotiating, and consulting on behalf of Canada in various development forums in Africa, Asia, and with Development Partners in Europe. In Kenya, I have chaired the Extractive Industries Technical Working Group, the Donor Support Group to Parliament in Kenya, the Devolution Donor Working Group and the UN Devolution Working Group. I am currently the Chief Technical Advisor to the UN Joint Devolution Programme implemented by UNDP, UNICEF and UN Women. In my free time I enjoy his role as coach of the Kenya Ice Lions ice hockey team.

Chief Technical Advisor (Devolution)Undp-Kenya Oct 2014 - PresentNairobi, KenyaDuties: Conduct an assessment of UN devolution programing across all relevant UN agencies operating in Kenya. Guide and coordinate relevant UN agencies working on devolution related activities in Kenya. Chair of the Devolution Donor Working Group and the UN Devolution Technical Working Group. Develop a joint UN devolution program with multiple UN Agencies, including a joint workplan with clear roles and responsibilities. Develop a monitoring and evaluation plan for a joint UN devolution programme. Advise senior Government of Kenya and UN Agency officials on governance programming with a special focus on devolution. Represent UNDP at various forums. Successfully led the development of joint programme with UNICEF, UNDP, and UN Women and led on resource mobilization efforts for devolution programmes that have attracted over twenty-six million dollars in funding from a range of development partners.
