My role as Mechanical and Electrical Project Manager involves delivering projects to time, quality, specification and budget through to hand over to the client. Contracts range from £500,000 to two million-pound and include self-contained living quarters / flats, plant rooms and steel fabricated mechanical tank holding unit's with offices. Key elements include commercial radiant and domestic heating, Building Management Systems (BMS) ventilation systems and Air Handling Units (AHU’s) as well as all power and lighting. Works are carried out to detailed programs and RAMS while ensuring proficient health and safety and managing a combination of direct labour and sub-contractors. I communicate feedback to stakeholders and principle contractors in weekly meetings.

Managing contracts in the Social Housing sector installing gas heating systems in occupied and void properties. I managed multiple trades over several projects at any time. This involves controlling all direct facility’s and traded, as well as managing sub-contractor resources.I maintained contracts over a million pounds while meeting budgeting targets, customer satisfaction as well as controlling staffing resources. This included the smooth delivery of Health & Safety, R.A.M.S, compliance and monthly applications. Progress was updated to steak holders with weekly and monthly KPI reports and regular meetings. During my time I increased contract productivity by 30%.

Responsible for all aspects of running the company, I headed a team of 15 direct labor engineers, a proficient admin team as well as dedication to training apprentices and furthering the careers of qualified engineers. I developed a massive growth in business. I Tendered for and managed complete projects and was responsible for all aspects of management process through to the final stage. I built relations and held contracts with some large companies including Thames water, Climate Energy and British Gas. Although predominately a plumbing and heating company we also delivered an all-encompassing facilities management service. Our reputation for quality and reliability was exceptional.

Swindon

I managed 4 separate kitchens on site, answerable directly to the Executive Chef. These included a Twentieth Century house for private functions, like weddings and corporate business events, a 220-seater restaurant serving Breakfast, lunch and Dinner, and two bar kitchens, 1 within an onsite gym facility and a business bar that served lighter meals and snacks. The main restaurant operated a carvery style service comprising of 3 main courses, along with a fresh salad bar and homemade sweet bar. Each service would serve around 350 covers.We offered buffets with canopies to dressed salmons as well as hot food / wedding breakfasts for private functions. Everything was cooked on site from fresh produce and to order. This was a seven day a week operation and included shift work.We also had a pavilion on site for out door functions and catered BBQ’s serving anything up to 2500 people with a comprehensive menu, making homemade kebabs and burgers.
