Extensive use of EMS software and hardware both Delphi specific and commercial; Software - DDS Flasher, VISU, CDT, Chryslers CDA, and ETAS - INCA. Hardware - CAN communication; Vector, Softing, ETAS. Engine Load Box, ECU Break Out Box, Etc.…  Support Advance Engineering projects.

Hardware/Test Engineer March 2004 – July 2008 Support Calibration Engineers through rig testing of Diesel Fuel Injection Equipment.  In-Depth training Blois, France, for Servo and Piezo Controlled Injectors and Common Rail pumps. Support FIE wet system integration and optimization thru rig testing. Supported advanced engineering projects related to SCR and biofuels. This included procurement of FIE, design and manufacture of test fixtures, and customer support. Provided onsite support of FIE Hardware, Software, and Electronics for single cylinder and multi cylinder combustion activity at GM TC, Warren and GM TC, Milford.  Provided FIE hardware, and software support for single cylinder activity at FEV, Auburn Hills.

Sr. Technician/Test Engineer 1984 – 2004 Major role in development and fabrication of the common rail testing facility in Troy. Carried out supply acquisition, facility engineering, HS&E, and daily administration functions for DDS lab. Supported Heavy duty business with fixture design and testing to accommodate E3.25 EUI. Some customer (Detroit Diesel) involvement.  Documented FIE and engine performance, prepared application engineering approvals for senior engineers to sign off for new customer applications. Supervised work at DDS and customer, organized test results for review with customer and DDS senior engineers. Visited customer sites, (including foreign sites), with customer engineers to evaluate applications concerns and carry out agreed program of work. Advanced engineering projects: Provided design, fabrication and test support to senior engineer. Designed and fabricated product models in support of USA exhibition activity.  DPC pump applications: Carried out applications test programs in conjunction with senior Engineer. Carried out warranty analysis test programs in conjunction with senior engineer.
