Just completed a major ERP application project (Infor) which is an industry maintenance application, heavily bespoke including, application testing, working with different stakeholders and users, working within the close out stages of the project, managing services into operations. • Global HPE Helion - Managed UK government CLOUD installation. The role involved the management of the design of all the infrastructure, and the deployment of the applications, both bespoke applications and UK public service applications, testing storage, servers (Linux and Wintel) and the complex security solutions, monitoring risks, change, issues and schedule management. Worked with the client to ensure cost and design completion. • DWP (Child Support) - Deployed servers and network infrastructure across Data Centres within the north east, providing hosting and security capability for child support applications, deploying software that had backend DB (Oracle, SQL, and DB2).Working on the DWP contract for HPE delivering a number of successful hardware and software migrations, including reporting, quality control, risks, issues and daily actions. Responsible for the implementation of application delivery projects – managing the testing and Implementation lifecycles for the applications from provision of software through to co-existence, integration, performance and user acceptance testing to successful live delivery of the applications to end users. Specifically responsible for the Data Centre roll-in from all the other program areas. Migration was defined and the new infrastructure deployed, testing was undertaken until completion. Deployed the new tools on the migrated applications and infrastructure, constructed all the new services. Responsible for all the project managers, architects and delivery support within the program. Handed over to the support teams. Those tools where used for monitoring and reporting of any issues or problems. This was a very complicated area which provided multiple customers with tooling to control and monitor their domains. This was achieved by analysing the existing infrastructure and applications, putting the applications into high level groups, defining how they would be migrated into groups and then deploying the new infrastructure into the environment. Moved the target applications and tested until completed. • Courts Service (Justice) – This project was to establish 2nd level support for the department within EDS (Distributed Systems Management Centre DSMC) included within my responsibilities was the management and delivery of plans to ensure all necessary preparation and execution tasks and dependencies and ongoing management of those plans to achieve the delivery goals. Working with key stakeholders to manage the deployment of all aspects of the project. Identify and mitigate potential risks for delivery of products. Operate as a full member of the team; supporting the program team members as identified. Project Manage all aspects of specific work packages, working with stakeholders to ensure Design; Delivery; Technical Build and testing was completed on schedule, manage resources and costs at all times. The completion of the detailed design phase to time and quality. Working with the Design team to secure stakeholder sign-off at all stages applying the correct governance.
