Dr. Cowan is one of only two doctors in Fort Collins, CO who is basic-certified in Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP) and Scolibrace Provider Certified (Level 1). He is also one of the few in Colorado certified in Scolibalance Level 1 and 2. He was trained to perform physiotherapeutic scoliosis specific exercise (PSSE) programs to treat scoliosis in children, adolescents and adults by Dr. Jeb McAviney, DC, the leading authority in the world for non-surgical treatment of scoliosis. He has been trained in Motion Palpation Full Spine Analysis & Adjustive Technique taught by Dr. Corey Campbell, DC. He has training in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), trained by Dr. Rintala, DC with a goal to become a certified DNS rehab practitioner. He is also currently working towards his Diplomate in Functional Neurology through the Carrick Clinical Neuroscience Program. Dr. Cowan is an extremely confident and skilled diversified adjuster, performs mirror-image adjustments, and is extremely proficient in extremity adjustments. He values the importance of and is very knowledgeable in active rehabilitation, spine strengthening, and corrective exercises. He is also trained to perform our new state-of-the-art SoftWave therapy to treat shoulder pain, knee pain, and more.In his free time, Dr. Cowan enjoys spending time outside with his German Shepard named Titan. He is an avid hiker, golfer, backpacker, and powerlifter/weightlifter. There isn’t a weekend where you can’t find him active on the mountain, at the river, or in the gym. Volunteering is one of his passions, from kids ministry to soup kitchens. When he isn't being active, you can find his nose in a book. He loves to stay up-to-date on research and read motivational books to better himself everyday.
